We are pleased to announce that we will be selling two new products, “Hoshitori red wine cask storage” and “Hoshitori sherry cask storage”.
These new sake products are a new concept from the Fukura Shuzo brewery.
Because it takes time for both to mature, only about 300 bottles can be shipped each month. We hope you will take this opportunity to try them.
【Hoshitori red wine cask storage】
Junmai Daiginjo sake from Fukura Shuzo is stored in red wine barrels for about one month.
Apart from the current Hoshitori series, a new Junmai Daiginjo-shu specially prepared for barrel storage is used.
The junmai daiginjo, which offers the full flavor of rice, is enhanced by the subtle astringency and acidity of red wine.
The coloring, aroma, and flavor will change depending on the aging temperature and length of time.

【Hoshitori sherry cask storage】
Junmai Daiginjo sake from Fukura Shuzo is stored in sherry casks for about one month.
Separate from the current Hoshitori series, this sake is made from Junmai Daiginjo-shu specially prepared for barrel storage.
This is an experimental product made by soaking sake in sherry casks, which are famous in the whisky industry.
The sweet fruit-derived flavor, which can only be produced in sherry casks, adds an extra touch of color to the fruity Junmai Daiginjo-shu.
The sweetness of the rice is matched by a hint of fruity acidity, making this an exceptional product.
